Box of Delights by Liz Almond

I had so much fun stitching Box of Delights and "auditioning" threads - but now it's all finished!

Here are my thread choices for the final block:

Thread Choices Block 6
Top L-R: Charleston Glisson Gloss, Ginger Tom PB48, Pink Zebra PB24
Bottom L-R: Wrath, Whale Song PB08, Chocolate Frog PB06
The final block stitched up:
Block 6
And the finished piece!
Box of Delights by Liz Almond Complete!
I do have some ideas for finishing it, but knowing me who knows when that will happen!
Liz will be having another SAL starting towards the end of the year, Pandora's Box and this design will involve Assisi and pulled work as well as blackwork!  Another design for the list........
Happy Stitching!

  3. congratulations! it's such a happy, colourful piece!
I'm glad to know I'll watch you play with colour combos again in the future, it was great fun from here too. even so, I find the use of the name "Pandora's Box" quite terrifying, considering what was in it, but then again everything was fine until she actually opened it.. ;)

  5. Truely a delightful piece. Could I also thank you for being instrumental in helping me return to my stitching...after a long break. Reading and watching you has inspired me to return to my needles and thread and I already have a finish too!

  6. Beautiful finish. All the colours came out really well together.
My latest Joan Elliott project was a real Pandora's Box, lots of nasties and then Hope came out at the end!

  10. Hello Amanda, I saw that you had posted on a blog that was part of the WIPocalypse. I have not been in touch with you for so long. I have moved away from the Cross Stitch Forum for several reasons but I miss some of the regulars from there. Nice to see your blog it is wonderful. Crazy as it sounds I have just started a blog of my own. It is very new so not alot to see yet. I will be popping in off and on.
