Operation Threadporn 2015

For 2015 I have set myself the challenge of using as many of my hand dyed threads (silks, cottons and perles) as is reasonably possible.  The codename for this project is Operation Threadporn!  I will keep a running total of all of the hand dyed threads I use in all my stitching projects throughout the year and each month report on the percentage of my stash that I have used.  Why a percentage?  Well then I don't have to reveal to the world the true extent of my thread hoarding, but also the more threads I buy the more threads I will have to use in order to reach my goal of between 12% - 15%!

In addition to this, every month I will choose a freebie chart or two from the many that I have saved on my hard drive from the talented and generous designers and bloggers that share complimentary charts with us via their websites and blogs.  These will all be stitched from stash of course, but with the added "bonus" that they all have to be finished finished!  I'm rubbish at finishing and most of my stitching ends up in The Finished Drawer never to see the light of day again.  Each month I will also be stitching one of Mabel Figworthy's Songs of the Weather designs so that there will always be a little piece of Hardanger in my stitching projects each month.

  1. What a fabulous idea for a challenge! I have so many freebies charts saved on my hard drive too. But not so many special threads.
